{"id":376,"date":"2011-10-17T13:22:53","date_gmt":"2011-10-17T17:22:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/steveroblin.com\/?p=376"},"modified":"2023-11-28T16:23:45","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T21:23:45","slug":"hamiltonrealestate-09-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/steveroblin.com\/hamiltonrealestate-09-11\/","title":{"rendered":"Hamilton Real Estate &#8211; September Statistics"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Better than average results across the board:<\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/steveroblin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/RAHB-logo.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-128\" title=\"RAHB-logo\" src=\"https:\/\/steveroblin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/RAHB-logo.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"144\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a>In the residential freehold market,<strong> listings were up 7%<\/strong> over the same month last year and <strong>sales were up 8.65<\/strong> over August of last year.\u00a0 Average sale price remained very steady, with a very slight gain over last year.<br \/>\nFor the third quarter of the year, numbers of listings and sales in the residential market are well ahead of the same quarter last year, with listings up 10.7 per cent, sales up 13.5 per cent and average sale price up 3.5 per cent.<br \/>\nKeep in mind that last years 3rd quarter was heavily influenced by the HST implementation.<br \/>\nWhile third quarter figures compared favourably to last year\u2019s third quarter, year to date results show a different story.\u00a0 Listings of residential properties are down 3.3 per cent while sales are down 0.5 per cent for the same nine-month period.\u00a0 <strong>Average sale price, however, is 4% higher year<\/strong> <strong>to date than last year at the same time<\/strong>.
